Most excursions include transportation, however some do not. We will let you know either way and help book it for you. Depending on how large the group is, typically you will expect a silver or white van like this. Once they arrive to your designated pick up spot, a driver will exit the vehicle and say your name out loud. Be sure to be on time and pay attention as you will see many other transport services picking up other guests for other tours.

Getting a taxi cab here is a little different than back home. All you have to do is stand outside and hail one down as they are everywhere. If you are staying at a Resort, the bellman in your lobby can preorder one for you.

Majority of Cancun's Resorts and main attractions  follow in a straight line called "the Hotel Zone or Zona Hotelera." The R1 bus was designed specifically for tourists in this tourist zone. It costs 12 pesos per person or $1 American. There is also an R2 transit, (designed for locals,) however that route proceeds deep into the downtown local area, so be sure to pay attention before you get on.

The R1 bus runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It constantly circles from the very beginning of Cancun's hotel zone to the very end. This route includes all the major Resorts in the hotel zone, major restaurants, nightclubs, shopping, ferry dock and most marinas.

This public shuttle van is called The Playa Express.  It departs every 10 minutes (during day time hours,) from downtown Cancun and is about an hour ride to downtown Playa Del Carmen. Making random stops along the highway, letting passengers on and off, it also makes a stop in Puerto Morelos. With the same route in reverse, leaving downtown Playa returning back to downtown Cancun. It costs 45 pesos per person.
